Very nice, do you mind me asking what lens you use for these?

All of the shots with the exception of the dove in in flight were taken with a canon 70-200 F4 L, the dove in flight was taken with a 75-300. Even though the 300 is longer I prefer the image quality of 70-200.

Great shots. I really do need to invest in a proper telephoto lens at some stage. Did you set up a hide?

For the first shot I watched where the vole kept appearing from the rocks and setup the camera on a tripod, I then used a 5m usb cable so I could watch the live view on the laptop and press the shutter at the right time, on the canon software it also allows you to focus and adjust exposure from the laptop.

For the second shot I was sitting in the garden and as long as I kept still and kept the camera to my face it did not seem to notice me, each day I got a little closer and closer.

For the robins all I had to do was cut the grass and they appear to pick off the bugs, they are usually quite brave and land pretty close to you.

Very cool. I've been meaning to grab some shots of the magpies that keep taunting my cats. I've read that if you leave the tripod set up near them for a few days, they'll get used to it. You can then place your camera and use a remote shutter. Must try it.
