Ive a pair of Dura ace pedals that are 4 years old roughly, there in mint working order but are well bait looking, ive put them on a new mat black bike recently and they look out of place.I dont have the cash to shell out for a new pair, would it be worth trying to sand them and spray them Matt black?

Maybe use a matt black nail polish/paint with small brush, that way no risk of spraying into anything that could sieze

I've sprayed a few bike parts before - stems, seat posts etc in Matt black. The results can be great. I would use a primer before spraying if you're stripping back to raw metal.

+1, but use a small sponge to apply the paint, you'll get a much better finish with no brush marks.

For the best finish I've found if you hang the parts by a string then spray them - you can cover the parts easily. Use some news paper to prevent overspray.

This gives and even finish and allows them to dry without paw marks

Depends on which Dura Ace you're talking about? If they're really nice pedals I think you should sell/trade them instead of destroying their asthetics
