"Wall seat" on the 737

So I've never noticed before but apparently some of the window seats are lacking in windows. Row 11 on my Ryanair 737 yesterday had no window on the "ABC" side of the cabin, interestingly it did have a window on the DEF side, and what I found more interesting, was the 737 it was parked beside seemed to be missing a window in the same place, but on the opposite side, though I could be wrong.

So what's the deal? What is build into the fuselage there that is asymmetric, but big enough and bulky enough to involve the removal of my window seat. Like I'm not scared of flying, or claustrophobic, but I felt uncomfortable not being able to see out.

I know it's picky but I'd find it fairly uncomfortable like that too :P
