Help, 99 mondeo, just had front and rear brakes done today and was told all this stuff needs doing, oh yeh and bulbs, but can do them:) anyone any idea if any of this stuff is possible to do myself, the price I have been quoted is a lot more expensive than the parts are to buy on Micks garage. Any help would be really appreciated.

Inner tie rod will need a special tool
but the other parts could be DIY with a good tool kit.

All possibly to do if you got the right tools, and the know how, not that hard, few nuts and bolts that's all will have to get wheel alignment done after fitting wishbones. What were you quoted for the work.

Roughly looking at a set of parts for that from Mister Auto was 45 per control arm, 20 per droplink and 25 for the tie rod inner.
    140ish for parts.
    the rest labour?
Sounds a little expensive TBH, I'd price the labour component elsewhere.

That should really be the going rate for a job like that it shouldnt be any more than two to two and a half hours labour including alignment.

Just make sure alignment is included.
