    Hi everyone!
I'm moving to Clonmel due to work and need a little info about primary schools there. My little girl will be going into first class and at mo goes to a mixed school. I'd appreciate any feedback on your experiences of the town's schools and if there are waiting lists.
Thanks in advance for any advice and info!

Do you want a mixed school? What ethos? In the town itself or within a certain radius?

We're RC but are open to a multi-denominational school. I don't know much about the town or where we'll live in Clonmel as I just got the job offer today :-)

I think there's 3 primary schools in the town (mid 20's myself and have since left the town)

Sisters of Charity - All girls
    Presentation Primary - All girls
    Gaelscoil - Mixed

May have more in the town now, but those were the options back when I was in primary school (1990s)

If you go slightly outside the town you have Rathkeevin and Powerstown, both mixed and would have good reps. Personally, I would probably try the Sisters of Charity, Gaelscoil, Presentation, Powerstown then Rathkeevin.
You also have St Olivers which is a DEIS scoil.
If you want any more info feel free to PM me.

would also recommend Grange. I went there as a child and intend to start my daughter there in 2015. Fantastic school.

Grange is a lovely school but I would be wary of sending my child to a parish in which I was not living.
When they come home in the evening none of their friends are local and children can feel a bit isolated.

To be honest, your best bet would be to ring the schools ASAP to see the enrolment status as many may not be taking additional pupils. I know our school currently has 30 enrolled for September and doesn't plan on accepting many more (if any).
