lots of restaurants and things to do in albufeira,

try krazyworld or zoomarine or slide and splash for a day out

bakery pao da aldeia, all types of bread, cakes very popular

If you walk towards the end of the strip, go down the hill towards the beach. On the right hand side there are some lovely beach front restuartants. The first one you come to is a Chinese, Oriental Tea and I’d recommend it. It’s reasonable too!

If you like indian food, the Clay Oven is a must, keep walking straight up from corcovada on the main road and it's about 200meters from the strip

One of our favorite restaurants is Dom Capito, when you are heading to the old town, past the Vila Gale Hotel, you will past it. Sure have a nosey at the menu and specials of the day.

The cockerel country kitchen (just off the side road of the strip) do a fab sunday roast. We've tried all the restaurants for sunday roasts and this is our favourite. they also do a 2 meals for the price of 1

i would also recommend Ricardo's in the old town. Great italian with views over looking fishermans beach.

In Albufeira at the moment, 2nd time in 9 months, depending on where you are staying and if you can stay well away from the new town (aka The Strip) in favour of the Old Town. (That's our preference as we are travelling with children)

In the old town you will be spoiled for choice with regards restaurants which just about cater for every taste and pocket, but definitely don't feel compelled to go into an establishment as their Street rep is offering you enticements of free this and that, walk around read the menus, weigh up your options. Personally I like to stick to local food and restaurants around the old town but the Chinese restaurant "Big Shangai" (On the Corner of the Parisian de Albufeira hotel) if definitely worth a trip.
