land parcel and land folio numbers

Anyone know how to get land folio numbers from the parcell numbers.
Npws would not accept them ?
They approved them last year.

Cant check it on my phone at the minute but if a farmer has land at point X and more land maybe 20km away at point Y will they be different folio numbers?

AFAIK There's different folio numbers for parcels of land under same ownership and on the same farm.

Can u type a parcel number into that site to show you where the land is?

Farmer gave me new land today but just a parcel number and i dont know where the land is.

You can definitely use the folio number to do a search.

Great site good timing, saved me a trip to the land registry office as my farmer cant his folio number.

Tip for locating a folio for which you have no folio number on that Land Registry website.

If you know the folio number of any folio in the vicinity, you can 'zoom to folio' to that folio for which you have a number.

Then you will not have to scroll far to locate the folio that you want.

When you click on the appropriate plan (plot of land), the folio number will show on screen.

There is also a facility for searching townlands but I find the above method faster.

The folio number has nothing to do with ownership, its an identifier for the actual parcel of land. So if I buy a field from you, from your farm, it will get its own new folio number, as its being split off an existing block. (unless it has already been separately sold before)
This may just entail a change from F13295 to F13295A
