Mr. Dutchess and I will be staying in the Scottish Highlands for a week from the 21st of June. We're staying near a village called Invermoriston, with Inverness not too far away.

We'll be in a catering accomodation and rather than go to ASDA/Tesco/Morrison's I would like some tips on where to get nice local produce. Fish, grass fed/pasture reared meat and poultry&eggs, vegetables etc.

I also really want to see Highland Cows but they seem to be not as plentiful as the postcards suggest. Any advice on where to look?

Hi I'm just back, I stayed in Fort William and saw plenty of Highland cows , if you travel from Inverness to Loch Ness , and on to Fort Agustus (highly recommend) you will see plenty of them, A great holiday all around you will love it. Morrisons is a great choice for shopping we did ours there all the time. Inverness also has a fab shopping centre called Eastgate , well worth a look. There's a lot of road works going on in Inverness at the moment so take your time with the traffic etc can be a bit confusing , enjoy, you will love it ! :)
