Where to get primary school placement

    Hi everyone,

    I'm a student teacher looking for school placement at the moment and I''m not having much luck. For anybody who's done it before, how did you approach the schools and how many did you have to contact before you got your placements?

    I'm in Dublin South by the way, if anyone has recommendations :o

    Is this for TP? Have you contacted your old school?Many schools will allow past pupils in,whereas they are slightly more wary re unknown people.

    Hi Byhookorbycrook,

    I contacted my old school. There's a junior and a senior school and I talked to both, but the senior school said they don't have places and the junior one said they already have a lot of applications so they probably won't be able to take me. It's unfortunate; they were my absolute #1 preference. Getting disheartened :/ I've tried around 10 schools so far.
