Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wii U modding?

    My son just bought a Wii u but im not greatly impressed with the limited choice of games.

    Will the wii u ever be unlocked to run homebrew or is the interest just not there?

    Are there any current mods?

    I've no clue about your question though you know that the wii catalogue can be played on it and the eshop has some good games on it like trine, steamworld dig etc

    I think the Virtual Wii section (vWii) can be hacked. I had a quick look since I bought my Wii U and I *think* you need Super Smash Bros Brawl to unlock it.

    The original wii game disc?
    Does the vwii play backups of wii games through a loader from a hard drive?
    Maybe im not looking in the right place but information seems scarce.

    Ye thats my understanding. You're basically hacking the original Wii inside the Wii U and not touching the main OS of the Wii U.
    So the vWii is just running the latest Wii software, and the only way to hack that is to use the Smash Bros Brawl disc. This is the info I got from a quick look online so might be out of date or wrong. Info is scarce alright.
