I'm heading to Croatia at the weekend to go diving. Normally I just adjust my colour balance in photoshop but I reckon a red filter will be better, especially for video.

I can order online but probably not in time.
Anywhere in Dublin that sells them? Couldn't find anything easily on camera shop sites I know of.

I passed by Conns Cameras a few times and saw the Go Pro range in their window. Give them a ring or drop in-store if you are anywhere near city centre.

Yeah I looked at their site, no filters but I was going to pop in and grab a spare battery. I already had an exhausted battery in Connemara this weekend.

Would a filter not reduce the amount of light hitting the lens? Which under water may hurt you, the go pros aren't particularly good at low light.

A red or magenta filter would reduce the green overload you get under water. The result is something like this.

That said, you may be right. The gopro CCD is very small so it might not be worth it and post processing might be the way to go.

    Hi,

Any luck with finding a irish shop that sells the gopro/polar pro red filters?
    polarprofilters.com/shop/goproredfilterhero4
    shop.gopro.com/accessories/red-dive-filter-for-standard-plus-blackout-housing/ABDFR-301.html

I thought i would get it in best buy in the US, even though their website says they stock them, they dont stock them in most of their stores
