    Hi
I have an issue with the bottom bracket on my Boardman Road Team. It is a FSA BB30 bottom bracket. Went back to Halfords Blanchardstown who said that they haven't any in stock. Will take a few weeks and could I phone back when the guy who does the ordering is in!
Does anyone know where else I could get one. Have searched the internet and can't find any. There have been issues with these brackets I know but getting a replacement is a pain in the arse.

Would a SRAM Press Fit BB30 do instead. I can get this via ProBike Kit. co. uk. Don't know anything about these things but getting very frustrated.

    Cheers

BB's don't usually give problems...why does yours need replacing?

Because there is side to side movement in the cranks. Apparently there was a lot of issues with the bottom brackets on the boardmans.

Have had similar issues with bb on my Boardman,
Believe they used crap quality bearings a few years ago,
    Mine is 2012 frame,
Regreasing gets you away for few hundred km but ultimately best to replace with decent quality bearings,
Got mine on eBay for around 20 euros,
    Hth.

    Hi

What did you get a FSA BB30 or something else.

Id check the left crank first..make sure it is correctly fitted. It is possible that it is not tight and this would cause sideways movement. Only takes two minutes to fix.

Try planetx they have some BB30 units and bearing sets.

Just looked and they have SRAM BB30 brackets. Mine is FSA gossamer BB30 bracket. It may be obvious but is the SRAM compatible?

    Cheers

I'd get it to Humphries in Finglas, they'll get you sorted and close to Blanch.

Most likely, BB30 is the specification.
