I am at a loss guys, I have the wood and all that but the mesh? Not a clue where to get it now. It is a very fine mesh usually 1mm gap. I used to make the porch door/window doors of wood and tack on the mesh. Perfect way to keep the flys out!
I am on the Cork/Waterford border and not a clue where to go to get the stuff. I tried B&Q for it but they want some exceptionally high prices. I try ringing places and they talk about chicken wire lol.

    Aye B&Q sell it but it's €40 a sheet!!

In the end I went to Amazon and bought a plastic mesh here. Now the mesh is huge, it comes in two strips that over reach the door by probably 3/4 so trim to fit. You can't see it when it's up which is great too. There is this tape which comes with it to stick it on via velcro. The tape backing is crap but if you use some pins you can easily get it stick on and use it that way. Or find another way to secure.
To stop the cats going through it I simply got some fencing wire, it's square holes about 2inches by 3 inches wide. Not big enough for their heads.

It 's great though, no flys at all! It's fantastic!!
