I put this up on bmw-driver.net but no help so far....

Doing the brakes on my e60.
Ordered online from Micksgarage by reg. number.
Rear pads fine - no issues.

However, with the front, the pads I ordered don't fit. I even returned a set and ordered a different brand - same issue.

I marked up the image that I have attached with a red line. Basically, that dimension is too short and the pad won't fit the calliper.

I have also added a photo to demonstrate.

Any suggestions on which is the correct set of front pads from this list?:

    Thanks for any help.

    Its not an M-Sport.
The only thing unusual is that it is a UK import.
Mick's Garage picks it up as
"We've found more than one possible model of your car for the registration you've entered. ". I can then select "Bmw 5 (E60) 520d 1995cc. 177hp.. From 09/2007 onwards"

This is killing me as I have already removed the brake pads twice only to have to put them back on!

I'd get the original BMW P/N and get a price from a main dealer and local bricks and mortar motor factors. Don't forget to order the wear sensors also, they are sold separate and have a separate P/N.

Do the wear sensors need to be replaced with the pads - can you not just put the old one back on?

I went to a bricks and mortar motor factors this morning and got a new set of pads which I am now confident are correct.
I used the set that I had ordered on the web to ensure that the crucial dimension was correct by comparing them.
