We have a lovely but exceptionally hot stove in our living room that I want to keep my sons grubby little mitts off of as he's beginning to move around. None of the "normal" fireguards fit the space as the stove is too deep. Anyone got any good suggestions or know where we can get custom fireguard that would fix the problem.

There's a lindam playpen which I call baby jail but it can be attached to the wall to use as room divider or fire guard

There in Argos its the 50p shape one

We got an extra large one on amazon, had the same problem. Can't remember the brand though, possibly lindam as well.

We have the Baby Dan "Play Jail" around the stove. It comes with the mounts to use it as a fireguard.

We have the BabyDan 5 Panel Black Hearth Gate

Its fantastic with the gate making it really accessible to clean out and light the stove. Would def recommend it. Because our fireplace is so wide we had to buy extensions for it but it was really easy to add them

But the babydan gate isn't a proper fireguard right? How do you ensure your child can't reach through the bars and still get burned?

there is a stove guard in 'morris' sit shop in Waterford.

it is made if very strong metal and is very sturdy. I can't remember the make or price though.
