Post all your pics here if you think your local council or contractors they hired have done a **** job resurfacing or marking roads.

    My first upload

Road resurfacing Croke Street Thurles obviously it was not Thurles Town Council who laid this surface or paid for it since it was the DOE hired contractor laying new water pipes but they would have to sign off on the work I imagine so why would you sign off on that. There are cowboy traveller tarmac gangs going around Ireland as we speak who could do a better job than that ffs. When those photos were taken it was only just laid that morning. Walking up that street today it's all coming up and cracking.

Also if anyone here has experience laying tarmac I would like to hear your opinion of the quality of work in the photos thanks

I'll go out at first light and gather evidence. I predict this thread will be enthralling.

If.you can, include council worker breastfeeding a shovel whilst in the process of 'repairing' pothole for extra points.

I wouldn't be giving a 10/10 to those who resurfaced pavements after digging up to install the water meters. A big thumbs up to them for leaving the complimentary yellow painted writing on said paths though.

It reminds me of The Simpsons Hurricane Neddy.

Moe: Yeah we ran out of floorboards there, so we painted the dirt. Pretty clever!

TTC: Yeah we ran out of tarmac and just put oil on the stones.

This is exactly like the draw a footballer thread in soccer, only dull and boring.

I was expecting far far worse than that tbh.

You actually photographed that stuff op?

The council should sell all their road working machinery and hand everything over to private contractors, even a simple thing like filling potholes has left our roads like a battlefield due to their policy of using blobs of tarmac which inevitably dry leaving lumps and bumbs.

I have been on the edge of my seat clicking refresh for the past 4 hours waiting for someone else to contribute their photos of tarmac, I can't sleep with the excitement!

Having been a victim of constant digging / re-digging / re-repairing of roads in my area I completely agree with highlighting issues like this.

The companies realise the crapper job they do, the sooner they'll get requested to dig up and repair the road again causing traffic chaos to all road users in the area.

I bet when these cheeky builder chappies did such a cr4p job, they never in their wildest fears, in their darkest nights, thought they would get their own thread on AH, dedicated to their work.

They won't do work like this again.

They're temporary road surfaces, nothing to see here, move along.

Maybe you should draw your evidence of the road surface using paint to liven things up a bit

So temporary unfished work is to be posted as shoddy work? OK, I'll go out now to snap every ongoing road repair in the area.
I'm just glad they have started on the repairs to be honest but if it's what AH wants...
