Guys, I've known this girl and have been chatting away to her a good bit, I plucked up the courage and asked her out to a concert for a band that we both enjoy, was this the right call on my part for a first date, or should I have gone for a more traditional option such as a drink and a quiet chat in a pub?

Don't fill up on food you be groggy at gig. Eat before you head out to meet her.

Thanks guys, I don't know about drinks, we both will be driving there as we don't live near the city where the concert is on, but a cup of coffee or something afterwards might be had.
