    Hello,
I have been working in Ireland for 4 years, the last 1 year and a half under the same company.
Now I would like to quit my job for medical reasons (that do not qualify for disability allowance).
I know that if I quit I have to wait for 9 weeks, but after this time am I sure to be entitled?
Should I go to Social Welfare and ask them?

    Thank you.

Don't really get how that's related to software development! :D Try somewhere else

I think you answered your own question , Yes you should probably ask them.

But either way , yea Im pretty sure you should be entitled after that length of time, so long as you dont have loads of money in the bank etc

You don't qualify for disability allowance, so doesn't that mean you're fit to work?
Unless you mean for that particular job.
Surely you'd find an alternative within nine weeks before ever needing state support.

You won't get anything unless you say you are looking for full time work. If you are looking to quit work for health reasons then JSA is not the one for you.

Go to a doctor and get them to assess whether or not you are fit to work.
