I have €500 in a Credit Union account with a small amount going in every week from a part-time job.

What are the chances of getting a loan for ~€750. I'd plan on saving the same amount as I currently do and pay it back weekly over a year.

Probably very good.

Caveat: each CU is a separate entity, and policy and practice can vary a bit, so you are best going in to ask them than relying on opinions expressed here.
