Over the years on this forum I've noticed posters have a preference for a brand or style of guitar. I've tried a few,PRS, Fender, Gretsch, Gibbo's, Rics and Ibanez but I always come back to Fenders. I've also discovered Collings and shifted a lot of gear to fund a couple of their electrics and acoustics. I also prefer a compact solidbody.

From a sound and playability (and aesthetic) perspective I've found my groove, they just fit me.

What is your brand and style ?

I play bass and I love G&L's (the "L" stands for someone called "Leo" ;))

PRS and Les Paul style guitars are my kinda thing, they're just so versatile!
I do have a thing for Tele's though, might have to get one soon!

Les Pauls for me for as long as I've been playing
Owned at least 20 of them over the years but have settled on two, a 92 standard fitted with SD Slash Sig pickups and a Billie Joe junior fitted with a Zhangbucker P90

In saying that I have 4 Fenders and have a very strong fetish for Peavey T 60's

I've never really felt the urge to look beyond Fender/Squier, specifically Teles and offsets. Currently own a Standard Tele, Modern Player Marauder and a Squier Bass VI.

If money was no object, I'd get a custom built Bilt Revelator as my next guitar. It is, so I have plans for the cheapest Esquire partscaster I can put together.

Pretty much anything that inst Fender or Gibson is what I prefer!

Currently using Godin, Westbury, Suzuki and Cort guitars.

Mind you the both the Westbury and Suzuki are modelled on Gibson guitars, not sure what that says about my taste really.

Have a few different brands but I consider myself an Ibanez player mainly. The guitar I use most is an old, cheap RG and Ive never found anything I like better.

What's the Suzuki like? If it's the brand I'm thinking of they make a hummingbird clone?

Always wanted to give one a try, will probably never be able to get the real thing;)

electrics? strats. I've had a load and still love em. Gibson necks just don't fit my hands....

my main go to electric is a Variax which is very like a strat.

as to acoustics, I build my own so they're all perfect fit for my hands!

It's the hummingbird clone alright. Still sounds great despite the battering it's gotten over the years (purchased around 1982-3), in fact the tone has mellowed really nicely the way acoustics are supposed to.
I normally use my Cort for gigs as it has the built-in pickup & tuner, but the Suzuki is coming out for an unplugged gig tonight in Dublin. :)

Guitars, I'm no aficionado but it's between fender & Gibson for me. There are lots of great brands out there obviously.
But I think of it this way, how many records do I love with fender & Gibson guitars on them?.....loads
how many records do I love with PRS guitars on them?......eh.....

I tend to favour classic designs but often from less popular builders. Currently I have two G&Ls, a Gretsch, a Rickenbacker and a Heritage. No acoustics at the moment. Perhaps some time in the future. I think I have good taste anyway!

Throughout the years I've owned various Gibsons, Ibanez's and PRS's but I always come back to Strats. I love their aesthetics, their ergonomics and most of all I love their necks. I do tend to veer towards the heavier spectrum of music though so I generally have to mod them to fit my needs...
