    ' Brid Smith, PBPA MEP candidate in Dublin has been arrested in Ballyfermot, for supporting the parents of the Save Our Schools campaign. Even on election day the State are trying to hamper Brids bid for the European seat.'

    I have just been told this.
    A group Save Our Schools were handing out leaflets relating to the building that the vote was taking place in (the De La Salle school). An official told them they must be 100 meters from a polling station and called the cops who moved them away from the school/poling station.

    I dunno ..you could not make this up

    Wow, perfect timing for Brid. Her votes have now just doubled I presume.

    Also, im sure she wasnt canvassing the polling station or anything.....

    If this is what she was doing, and the rule is 100m and she wouldnt move then fair enough. Not sure how the 'State' can be blamed here

    They have a wheel like on Winning Streak with four options: The State, The Bondholders, the Bankers and Whatever Group We Just Split From as options. Richard Boyd Barrett gives it an ould spin and they base their press release on that.

    Other, more complex decisions use a variant of the yoke from Twister.

    I was in Tallaght hospital a few days ago and she and someother peope before profit candidate had leaflets littered all over the hospital. I found it pretty low to leave them laying around like that.
