How is this poss if he used condom? He said condom didnt split. No oral sex

He always worried now incase he takes hiv as his thinkin is well he wore condom and that didnt work!

Please help as i really worried for him. Hes to wait two weeks on results. I worried sick.

Condoms are not 100% effective, even when used properly.

If unprotected oral was involved, that could also be a reason.

He should go for a full sti screening, if he hasn't already (although I presume he has based on what you said about a 2 week wait).

Thanks green screen for your reply

    No unprotected oral.

Just really worried as he would worry an awful lot and has taken to his bed and wants to be alone. He is on about hiv and perhaps gettin that to

Contact the strip club. She may want to get tested. If she also has it then there ya go

Obviously she has it and gave it to him

OP I've moved this to personal issues instead of TGC as I think it's better suited to this forum - Sex & Sexuality may have also been appropriate but that forum is for subscribers

Any Issues with this PM me by all means

More than likely, yes. However, she may not be aware that she has it. He should absolutely contact the club and tell the woman that he has it.

Chlamydia often has no symptoms, especially for women. There's every chance she doesn't know she has it, and she should be told, for two rreasons - to protect anyone else she sleeps with, and because it could leave her infertile.

It goes without saying that your friend should wait until he has all the facts to hand before contacting the lady he met while abroad. The doctor in question thinks he may have something other than a kidney infection, until he/she has test results to confirm this your friend should sit tight and hope for the best imo

It might not be chlamydia at all, wait for the test results before doing anything else.

Certainly do not contact the club at this stage - although do if its confirmed.

Sounds like a very harsh lesson for your friend. I hope he learns from it.

Important thing is for him to get fully tested, as for HIV I doubt it he would want to be seriously unlucky. Only thing he can do is get tested and refrain from any activity which could spread it until he gets the all clear.

No one seems to have mentioned this, so I will. Strip clubs are not the best of places for meeting the opposite sex.

The people that you meet in strip clubs are likely to be sex workers.

I'm not making any judgement but sex workers have to be one of the highest risk categories for STIs.

    Hardly hiv?

    HIV is common enough.

you dont need to mention this as its common sense. Im sure ur not the only one here thinking that. Dont need a lecture.

petals rocks1 - no need to shout, and less of the attitude please, it might be common sense to you but clearly for your friend it is not. Remember folk are advising you in good faith, you might not always like what you hear but if you've an issue please report it, as it stand the advice given above does make alot of sense.

OP I'm not really sure what anyone here can do for you. Questions about chlamydia transmission should really be directed at a medical professional - but in a nutshell unless there was a complete barrier at all times and zero fluid transfer, there's always going to be some risk.

As far as I know, transmission rates of HIV are pretty low - and the Czech Republic appears to have one of the lowest HIV rates in Europe (women would be an even smaller percentage of that). So he'd have to be more than unlucky if this turns out to be the case.

Really there's not much to do except wait for the results and not jump to conclusions.

The reason I said to contact them has been lost in transit I think, you can determine that if she gets a positive result it corroborates the results the doctor is finding on your friend.

It's very easy to catastrophize something like this. Until the tests come back he won't know what the story is. He might not even have any sexually transmitted diseases. Don't assume that doctors get it right every time. They don't.

Even if your friend is desperately unfortunate and has HIV, it's not the death sentence it was when I was growing up. It can be controlled quite successfully these days and perhaps they'll find a cure for it in the years to come.

    OP

I don't mean to be offensive but a stripper who has intercourse with clients is a prostitute/sex worker. She is going to have a much higher than average number of sexual partners. As has been mentioned. And she is still make trade and putting a large number of men at risk. Not only those men but their girlfriends /wives potential partners and any children conceived could be born with abnormalities.

If she were to become pregnant during this time a child could be born with birth defects.

I would say contact her and warn her that there is a chance she has it. Then she can stop working and stop until she gets a test that gets the all clear. The risk is too great.

Tell her she needs to get the all clear. And you friend needs to get a test too.

I would not wait until he has a test to confirm it ...mention to her his doctor suspects it and she should get tested. She is in the business and should be able to be mature about it.

You could be preventing further spread of it during the time it takes for your friend to get tested.

And From here on in it would be wise for any sexual partner you or your friend has to get tested, both of you should. It might seem like it's spoiling your fun but I think it is worth it.

Educate yourselves truthfully about safe sex. Even if vaginal fluid is present transmission is possible. If vaginal fluid was present before he put on the condom it's possible. Did he have any contact with any other woman?

No he should not wait until he knows for certain he should tell her now he has suspicions. Even if he does not have it , it is no harm done in having her tested. She is in the business getting tested might be routine to her.

Obviously he needs to find out pretty quick.

I'm sorry your worried OP but I'm not sure what advice you can get other then he's going to have to wait. Nothing posted here will change the tests results. If he has contracted an STI he will have to deal with that and if he hasn't he should use the scare to better educate himself for better protection in the future. Many STIs can be spread by gential contact so oral sex and rubbing together as part of foreplay but many people don't put the condom on until they are ready for penetration. Condoms are not 100% effective even when used correctly and there many STIs that condoms cannot protect against. It sucks that it was his first time, many people have unprotected sex mulpitple times without contracting anything but that is the reality I'm afraid, when there is a risk even if it's a small one there is still a risk.

Alot of the sex workers in Prague are brought in from places like Ukraine and Moldova so are very much under the radar wrt Czech disease statistics. Your friend needs to wait for the results and discuss the issue in detail with his doctor.

I am not sure there are strip clubs in Prague. AFAIK they are all brothels.
