The Grand Social Presents (in association with Nightflight)

    Com Truise (live set)

    Sunday June 1st
    Doors: 11pm
Adm: €10 (and online at ticketmaster)
    Support: Nightflight DJs

“Cosmic synth maestro and electronic producer/DJ returns with brilliant uptempo 80's synth pop grooves” The Guardian

The Grand Social is delighted to welcome back synth maestro and electronic producer/DJ, Com Truise (Ghostly International) on Sunday June 1st (bank holiday) for a special late show. Seth Haley - aka Com Truise - released his most recent EP ‘ Wave 1’ in February 2014, and this is the first we’ve heard from Seth since his stunning and futuristic debut album ‘Galactic Melt’.

That first album contains all the cosmic evolution of Haley’s alter ego, Com Truise – an astronaut in a synthetic / robotic world - and this new EP ‘Wave 1’ continues the journey while staying within the confines of a multiple musical universe.

Haley himself describes Galactic Melt as a "sort of film score ... from the mind," and Wave 1 works the same way, referring to the last stage of intergalactic travel for Com Truise. One wonders what corner of the cosmos he may take us next...

Just added to the bill hotly tipped live act HAUER

    check their bio here..

    Biography
Haüer is a Dublin-based one man set-up cursed with a weakness for nostalgic 80's music production and synth-based cinematic film scores. His debut EP 'The Infinitesimal' was released last summer by American label 'Future City Records' and was described by Goldenplec as "the perfect soundtrack to a sci-fi daydream".

Since then Haüer has been gigging around Dublin at events such as Night Of The Machines and Hard Working Class Heroes. His single release 'Helicop' was included in The Guardian's 'Six must-listen new tracks from around the world' as well as being part of the Loudmouth Collective's Compilation Vol.6. He also has had a track appear on Playmaker's Miami Cannibal Massacre Compilation.

"The build through this adventure is incredible with richly developed passages leading into wondrous new vistas…It's a masterfully crafted piece from beginning to end" - Synthetix

"Embracing 80's reverb soaked drums, twinkling arpeggios and New-Order-esque kicks, John Rooney's music, while still in its early stages, can be filed alongside Irish contemporaries like I Am The Cosmos, Solar Bears and Lasertom" - Soundblob

"The Infinitesimal path opens a vortex of dreamscape atmospheres, and vistas render some of the most magical - dark yet enlightening- synth waves. Bliss in disguise, doing the trick on so many levels" - Playmaker
