Hi

I'm at my wits end with this car, I have a Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 4WD Manual, when driving the car there is a slightly audible and whats best described as a "whirling" noise coming from the engine bay, its like it comes in through the air vents at anything above 60km/ph now its not that loud, the radio will mask it but very annoying and it wasn't there a few weeks ago but in addition to this every few mornings (intermintantly) especially when car is cold a big whirling wind rushing noise (kinda gravelly too like a bad bearing) is in the engine bay (front center rigth when looking from front head on) when i pop the bonnet and the only way to get rid of it is to turn off the engine and wait a few moments then turn back on and its gone sometimes i have to turn off twice and its gone but never more than twice

Does anyone have any idea what this si as i go on holidays to France soon and do not want this ti ruin our holiday, its so anoying cause it doesnt happen all the time and i can recreate it for the mechanic anyone out there that this may make sense too i would really appreciate your input
