Hi. My band is looking into locations for a photo shoot. Our album cover is themed with large cogs and gears.

We are looking to do a photo shoot in Ireland , preferably near the Dublin area. We are looking for locations that would have large cogs , big clocks such a old factories etc.... If anybody has some ideas could you please share them.

    Thank you

I'm struggling to think of anywhere that would bring all those elements together.

A large-clock maker would have the cogs and clock faces in their workshop possibly - might be worth a google. Other than that, I think large cogs and gears are most easily found in older grain mills and distilleries. The mills and distilleries that I've been in so far wouldn't really fit your bill but I'm wondering if a restored mill or distillery might work for you (as opposed to disused) as conditions would be easier to work around. The only thing that might be a pain is some kind of safety screen or mesh being in the way.

You might end up shooting a few different places and then put together the elements you want. I'm not in the least bit creative so don't ask me what that would look like or how it would work :o

    Hi thanks for your input..

Yes i never thought about searching for clock makers. I'll look into that. There are a few disitlleries around that we could try and visit. As long as we don't look like Tourists would be the main thing haha.
