This stuff is in B&Q for €3.20 per 5l. I picked it up because I couldnt for the life of me find any name brand APC gallons anywhere. I used it today on the engine bay of a 15 yr old fiesta that has never been taken care of and it did a serious job.

Question is what else can I use it for on the car? Would I get away with it as a pre-wash possibly?

Without knowing the product...I'd say its quite strong. Diltued well down it may work as a pre-wash, but only if you are preparing the car. If you had wax/sealant on it, and are just doing a wash, it will probably strip it off.
The only other place you'd be safe using it would be wheel arches and undercarriage watching out for areas where you actually want/need grease.
