Sideways photos in online ads

I like to look at the ads online and regularly browse Donedeal and Adverts.ie etc. I’m always amazed at ads that show the photo of the car / stereo / Villa in the South of France or whatever, sideways.

Personally I wouldn’t dream of ringing anyone who couldn’t be arsed to put the photo the right way round in their ad. Is this a view generally shared or am I just way too pickey?

If I wanted something, I wouldn't care what way the photo is up.

I can never understand these either, if the person has the intelligence to use the likes of donedeal how hard can it be to press the rotate function to upright the photo.

There are a % of people who probably can't use those functions or maybe don't even know they exist.

I used to send the seller of such ads messages on the website message function telling them what a cretin they are and that when they learn to hold a camera the right way round they may have a better chance of selling their car or whatever...but Donedeal went and ruined that by changing the messaging format they used. Before hand you just out in any old email and phone number and write what you wanted, now you have to log in to send a message. Spoilsports.
