It'll be on tomorrow in Italy.
    giro_stage_13_profile.jpg

Probably the last sprinter's day before the finish in Trieste. Short one at 157km, so the only thing that could scupper the sprinter's finish is if the peloton aren't cautious enough and let the break go away too far. The finish is on a fairly simple city circuit.

    Odds: Bouhanni 4/5, Nizzolo 4/1, Viviani 8/1, Mezgec 8/1, Swift 14/1

Live TV coverage on Eurosport1 from 1.30pm. Highlights on Sky Sports 3 at 10.15pm and Eurosport1 at 10.35pm. Note: Eurosport TV schedule is always liable to change without notice.

Nacer Bouhanni really saved himself for this flat stage as he came dead last in the ITT. So my prediction is for him!

Have to say, the Giro's been pretty disappointing thus far. Losing Dan and Rodriguez so early didn't help. It's also a very back loaded route with little or nothing happening GC in the first half. Baring crashes and the TT, the only GC action we've seen is Pozzo's 30sec gain a few days ago. Hopefully Quintana comes back into form to light up the mountains stages.

I agree it has been disappointing but expect the last week to be a whole different ball game starting tomorrow....I think they got the parcours wrong ...and there have been too many crashes which has taken out some of the riders who could have light it up (J-Rod, Martin, etc) ...( I am also disappointed Roche lost 15 mins because from an Irish point of view not very exciting to have no one on GC and he could have been up there fighting it out IMO )

On a positive note its nice to see young riders like Majka, Aru, Kelderman get a chance to go for it in a GT

Also hope Quintana & Pozzo do light it up.....but must remember cos it is so back loaded riders have been scared to go for it ...waiting for the final hard week

I think I'd hardly enjoyed a sporting event in years as much as I did last year's Giro, loved everything from the snow to the aggressive riding, & a perfect winner in Nibali, and even when the GC lads weren't fully involved there were a few very exciting days of breakaways. This year's has certainly been dull stuff comparatively but hopefully, as MPFG says, the racing proper will start from tomorrow on.

I thought Wednesday stage was good, the breakaway , - will they wont they ...Arredondo & Michael Rodgers - will he won't he ....I'd be happy with a bit more of those

I missed the Rodgers stage which sounded more like it all right. The Arredondo stage was decent too but ultimately kind of summed up the race so far in that apart from Pozzovivo the rest of the GC lads just basically rode along together for its duration. As Ulissi said himself after winning it, he expected the racing to be harder resulting in him not at all being in the hunt on such a stage

I liked the way most of the stages were raced, it was the route up to this which has been terrible. I'm going to go against Bouhanni, Viviana has had no luck so far and if his team can lead him out better today, I think he can beat Bouhanni in a sprint, Nizzola for 3rd.

Sky have done nothing so far so the pressure must be on them to produce something. So swift to take it today.

Update: FDJ and Giant-Shimano have been leading the peloton for most of the day. The 6-rider breakaway only has a 2min 46sec lead with 80km or so left.

    NO

Another reason I find this Giro boring is Rob Hatch ...he pronounced everything correctly but overall its all so ordinary and boring

Damn, I have sound (crowd noise, rain swishing off the tyres, etc.) but no commentary on the Eurosport Android Player:(.

FDJ or Francis de Ju really messed that one up

I doubt it. If he wins the Red jersey it'll be the best season of his career not to mention he's a French rider riding for a French team.

DeMare is the main man for the Tour, Bouhanni has his nose out of joint over that. The red jersey win can only enhance his chances for a Tour position though. At the moment Bouhanni is talking to other teams, so there is a big possibility he could move. Again winning the red jersey will help him in his talks with FDJ.
