I have an interview through an agency for a general operative job in construction and im just wondering will i have to buy a suit or would a pair of slacks and shirt and tie do, or even more casual with pants and a jumper, i just think maybe a suit would be a bit much considering the type of job it is, thanks;)

General op? Even jeans will do, chinos if you don't want to be too informal. It's your attitude and experience which will win you this one, construction workers aren't known for their sharp dress sense.

Hard hat and a pair of Snickers to show you mean business.
