    hi all

I need to have the windscreen on my 1990 mercedes w124 replaced and was wondering if anyone has had experience of the various fitting companies while dealing with your cars ?.

If you'd rather pm me your suggestions that would be fine as well

I'd ring Benjamin Lichtenberg at http://lichtenberg-classics.ie, I don't think he'll do it for you but I'm sure he'll be able to advise where to go.

I live in Kildare and have used AAA Windscreens to replace a bonded windscreen on a '77 Volvo 245 and a rubber mounted windscreen on a VW Type 2. I used them for the Volvo because they were the only company that I phoned who seemed to know what they were talking about. I used them for the VW because they did a good job on the Volvo. They had the Volvo windscreen in stock and took a day or two to get the VW windscreen. In both cases the fitters were helpful, polite and did a great job.

Michael McGerthy, They put a new top tinted screen in a w124 300D for me a few years ago. First class job.

Can't tell you a price, it was an insurance fix job.
Was like getting eye surgery, such was the improvement!

Autoglass did a fine job on my W123 years ago.
I used them again 2 months ago, someone smashed a back window in my Audi estate, again they did a very good job, so i can recommend them with no regrets.

Had to get a rear window for my 940 Volvo Estate. Got several Quotes of E 240/ 280. Tried Autoglass in Limerick, quoted E240, and they would have it in 3 days. When I asked if this was their best price, they came back with a price of E 180. I was very happy both with the price and the service.
