    Not sure about here, but when I lived in the States it was illegal, and it was certainly frowned upon in Australia too, if not being illegal too. Copper is lovely to work with, but over time it work hardens from vibrations in the car and becomes brittle. That's how I was taught at least.

    Will be interesting to see what others have to say though.


    [edit]corrugated roads were a big problem where I was from, so what was not acceptable there may be perfectly fine here.[/edit]

    I've used 3/16" copper-nickel piping problems. Not illegal and works really well.

    thanks, wasnt me personally, mech done the job and just spotted it and was curious. said he put in 4 new pipes, but he only did two!

    That's cunifer (Kunifer), the correct pipe to use, not copper.
