Not sure if this is the right sub forum or would be better suited to DIY or detailing.

Essentially I've decided to keep my 1.4 corolla until it dies or is pawned off to my younger brother. Running grand and flew through last NCT but looks rough enough.
So this thread is to get advice on how to tidy it up and keep it going as I'm absolutely clueless tbh.

    Problem 1: Boot
Back of car was damaged by previous owner and apparently the boot door and bumper were replaced. The piece of body between this cannot be and has started to rust. Anything to be done ?

Apart from this, the boot handle came off in my hand recently its only plastic, safe to glue back together? (hard to find colour coded replacement)

Problem 2: Left hand side front wing.
10 minutes after passing my driving test i scraped the schnite out of the left side. How can this be fixed in a economic way?worth the trouble? This part annoys me the most and I think makes the car look the worst .

Will rust cause it to fail future NCTs?

Apart from this its mostly more paintwork problems with sun cream stains and rust spots will post pictures if anyones interested.

Any advice would be a great help thanks

Get a couple quotes from local bodyshops. Then decide if you'd rather do it DIY.
You'll have to sand down, correct metal where needed, prime and respray.
A new handle can be got on ebay or breakers.
