Opposition to the Government's hunting proposals was also expressed at last month's meeting of North Tipperary Co Council, where local councillors spoke of the importance of hunting in the county...Cllr Eddie Moran (Ind) said the hunts generate employment and trade in North Tipperary. From an article in the Nenagh Guardian, 10th July 2010.

I find this funny seeing as he opposed the opening of the devilsbit shooting centre which would also create employment

Other than that it's a great find

He's a politician (I have other descriptions bit I'd get banned here if I post 'em :) ) He'll tell whoever he's talking to what they want to hear. The secret is to have it in print and when he's telling lies, someone produce it :) Then they get memory loss or simply lie

I'm against cock fighting, dog fighting, badger baiting, robbing banks and other things but I don't feel the need to mention it when discussing legal activities.

clearly the admin of the site doesn't share your distinction, I'm not agree or disagreeing just saying the site is not that well put together

Might well make a difference from the point of view of the European elections (though personally I'd be more worried about the digital privacy stuff - a case of shooting the nearest crocodile first); but in terms of the local elections, it might be better to keep in mind the actual powers of a local councillor and what they can and can't actually do:

<insert joke here about how it'd be nice if he'd shower after cutting the bog before going to the Dail>

Also wanted to ban fur farming in recent legislation.

Was going to vote for aidan mullins in Laois, but this has changed my mind. Will find another contra-type to register my protest wrt gov't performance (not that I voted for any of them).

I never "got" the point of fur myself, I prefer leather; but anyone who'll ban fur farming on the grounds of cruelty because the animals are kept caged strikes me as a person who's never met a mink. Or knows anything about them either. And kindof lumps themselves in with the idiots who'll release thousands of the things from a fur farm into the countryside to devastate the local ecosystems, and then call for a fur farming ban because the fur farmer didn't stop them from breaking the law to release the mink in the first place.

I get that the guy wants to be different, to shake things up and all that - but honestly, all I've ever seen him do is take a Dail that's a joke and turn it into a mockery. And I don't thank him much for that.

Its also MUCH warmer and durable than oil made global warming plastic fibers.:D
Never could understand these numpties that throw paint on someones fur coat, all they are going to do is buy another one with the insurance and another bunch of very nasty bad temperd rodents are going to get theirs ,to be made into coats or renderd down into mink oil.One of the best leather water proofs out there still.

No problem with ya disagreeing with it. It's HOW ya do it that counts ;) As we all know some who disagree do tend to do it to the extreme, not to mention illegally ;)
