I was just wondering does anyone have any experience of applying for/attaining this visa for the US. I'm thinking of applying for this one instead of the H1B.

They both seem like much the same sort of workers visa with only the length that are different. I know that after the PCT, you have to return to Ireland. Is there a time limit you have to come back for or can you apply for another visa & return to the US again once the visa is approved?

I work in IT & am relatively inexperienced (circa 15 months) so this visa does suit me as I will be gaining further experience/training in this field, while also travelling & working abroad.

You need to have employment secured before applying, which I can deal with but it's mainly the implications after returning that have me thinking.

    Any knowledge greatly appreciated.

H1b is done only by a company after you have been offered a job. There is limited numbers and certain times to apply (April they come out are run out at some stage). It is often difficult to get employers to sponsor you for it.

    Hi Shane,

I have also been looking at this visa option. There are a lot of providers. Currently researching positions and following up with contacts. I am also in the Business/IT sector.
