How much should i sell this for?

As per title, im selling my old rig now that ive built a new one. Selling to a friend and i dont want to rip him off, but i genuinely am not sure how much this is worth now

Case: NZXT Lexa Blackline
Mobo: Abit P35 pro
CPU: Q6600 Quad Core
PSU: Seasonic 550w (i think, either 550 or 600w)
GPU: MSI Twin Frozr 560ti 2GB
Ram: 8GB Ram
HDD: WD 1TB HDD

I have the option of either selling him this for a slightly higher price, or lowering the price and swopping the 560ti for an ATI 4870 1GB i have here. I wasnt thinking of charging much, €300 with the 560ti / €250 with the 4870? sound fair?

I definitely wouldn't pay €350 for that. I'd say you're doing very well at €300 as it is. There's no way around the fact that you're selling a dead end platform.

Well its not top of the line for sure, but it plays everything ive thrown at it, the latest game i tried on it was Dark Souls 2 @ 2560x1600, maxed, and got 60fps. So its not a clunker. and considering hes currently got a Dell with a C2D and an 8800GTS, i think its a decent upgrade for someone who cant afford to build a brand new top of the line machine!

Well, last Xmas I did a surprise to my friend and gifted my q6600 3gb ram 6870 pc. I would not feel comfortable to charge my friend for such system. If I would I would just take 50eu just for gpu.

3gb ram and a 6870? Thats worthless, a 2GB 560ti is still a damn good card, im using it in my current PC until i can afford a new GPU, and its running Wolfenstein TNO @ 45-60 FPS. This PC has 8GB ram and a GPU that cost €350 in 2012. I wish i could afford to give it away for free, but thats just not feasible.

What does that have to do with its current price? It might have costed you 2 bazilion ruppies, but at this day and age it worth exactly 2.3 **** all.

That PC has now 4gb ram and 6870 and he plays everything with us. Your PC is not even that much faster. Last time I checked 6870 is just a little bit slower then 560ti. So the only positive is extra 4gb ram, that most games dont really use yet or you can buy 4gb ddr2 for about 40-60eu.

If PC that I gave away worth feck all, then your pc worth feck all +50eu.

Stick it up on adverts, let the market price it for you. After 2weeks take the highest offer and sel it to your mate for 50 less, as he is a mate. Also let us know what the final price was.

Wow well thank you for your incredibly insightful help. Feck all +€50 it is, even considering how much better the 560ti is compared to the 6870 . And thats only for the 1GB version. If you genuinely think a 3gb ram system with a 6870 is only "slightly" slower than an 8gb ram system with a 560ti w/ 2GB VRAM, you dont know what youre on about.
Its also worth noting that the 8800GTS hes currently using was given to him by me for free, about 4 years ago when i could afford to give away PC parts.

Thank you mayordennis and people who gave actual, helpful replies. 200 notes is what ill offer it for, this can be locked now unless shadowhearth wants to come back with some more fantastic advice like maybe i should give it to a homeless man, or pay him to take it from me, or swop it for some magic beans, etc.

You asked a question and you got answers. Even so, the best one was about sticking it to adverts for a week and see how much you would get for it.
All you do is get offended, that you are not getting the prices you want for a PC that you want to sell to your buddy. Much of a buddy I see there, but thats off topic.
And why you bring up what he plays on right now? It does not make any difference as you are trying to push a 300eu dead end system to him, which he will have to scrap it sooner or later again ( a lot sooner ) and buy a proper one.
If I would be your buddy I would tell you feck off for 300eu, but I would give you about 100eu for it, just to get me going until I could afford normal PC with proper upgrade path, but even then its 100eu from potential good build.

Dont get offended so easily, you will live a lot happier life.
