Paddle mixer for concrete?

    Has anyone ever used a paddle mixer for making concrete.. will it work?

    I use a bird-cage type paddle. You've got to put the water in first and add the mix as you go - otherwise you'll blow the motor. If you can't source one, get the local garage man/welder to knock you up one out of rebar - that's what I did.
