    Hi folks,

Okay so a friend of mine was given the Log book for a bmw 3 series, someone else bought the car but the car is registered in his name. So technically does that make the car his? Just wondering seems like a big mistake to make by the garage but does my froend have the upper hand.

So yeah! Just thought I'd ask because no one can figure out who owns the car! Is there a way for him to get the car? Simply because the log books in his name & is the registered owner.

The registered owner is not necessarily the legal owner, the theory you are exploring is flawed, your friend has no legal claim to the car. You can't acquire ownership of property by someone else's mistake.
