Hi, I am currently doing up a bathroom and I want to put up a Grosfillex ceiling with 4 downlights (recessed lights) but the more I read I realise that for bathrooms any old downlight wont do.

Could anyone recommend a set of four down lights for a bathroom or where to go to talk to someone about the lights? Stillorgan area of Dublin preferably?

There will be an extractor fan going through the ceiling also. An electrician will be installing them all but he just doesn't seem to on the ball re regulations etc.

Changing the electrician is not an option unfortunately. Family friend etc so I am just trying to do my best to get the best and safest lights for him to install.

The stress of this is a pain in the hole

Just to add, the current ceiling will be torn down to allow the addition of the lights and extractor fan. I am hoping as long as it is safe to do so? To insulate the ceiling around the lights and extractor fan. Then replace the ceiling with plaster board and then cover that ceiling with Grosfillex 15" brilliant white panels.

Would anyone here object to that plan or have a better idea that i could do?

If he isn't competent do you really want him doing it?

Put it this way if your family friend was a bad barber would you still get him to cut your hair?
