    Hi folks,
Im looking for advice on a nice challenging scenic route to take few climbs etc from my work to home, ill be doing this once a week on my half day, time won't be a issue with daylight.
I work on killrudery road Bray and will be traveling home to Newbridge Kildare. So anyone that could recommend a nice route id be appreciative, also I'm not the best with names of places so the more detail or maps id be forever in your debt.

    Thank you

Marvellous idea. No shortage of options.

    How about this: http://goo.gl/maps/ZC2KH

Southern cross to Kilmac, over the bridge to Roundwood, turn off for Sally Gap... the left towards Blessington is called the Gap Road, it's another hillclimb and the road surface isn't fantastic; I'd put that down as optional. You could just keep going straight to Manor Kilbride and Brittas and then go to Blessington by the N81 (longer distance but flatter). Then onto Newbridge. 66k and plenty of climbing, a challenging ride for sure.

I would not recomend the N11 cycle lane, the surface is appalling and thats being genourous and the bus lane can be a death trap. see the attached link. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056767318&goto=newpost&zxf=1400186965

as for recomending a route, I am sorry I dont really know kildare-wicklow routes well enough to recomend one perhaps take a spin over the mountains into Bray.
