TV with USB connection

OK, so I bought a new TV the other day to hang on the wall of my kitchen. It has a USB port, which is great as I use this to back up all my shows and films. I was wondering how can I safely remove the USB from the TV, or is there a need to? Mods feel free to move if this is in the wrong forum.

    Thanks,
    Michael

There isn't anything in the menus to do this? If not, then you can just plug it out (if it isn't currently being used).

I never ever use "safely remove hardware" on any USB devices.

I might have to recheck that one.

To make it easier for people, the manufacturer is Blaupunkt and it is a 32" LED TV.

Power down the TV after turning it off ...... as in disconnect it from the power socket.

Once there is no power supplied it should be safe to remove the USB stick.
