Mary I and Marino are both in the DARE scheme.

Check out accesscollege.ie, find out the phone number of the DARE office in each college and phone them. They will be able to help you out.

There's always a high demand for Primary Teaching courses, that's not going to change. You can see somewhere on the CAO website where they've stats for each type of course's number of applicants, although it's very general.

DARE isn't awarded by course but by your disability. Regardless of what course you are doing, they can accept or reject your DARE application

If you're accepted it goes by points does it? So if 5 successful DARE applicants all get less than the required points the place goes to the highest successful DARE applicant (or the highest 2 or 3 etc. depending on the amount of DARE places for the course), this is what our guidance counsellor told our school...

It does depend on the number of places available for the course and how many students are applying for it through DARE. Obviously if there's 1 DARE applicant, he/she may get in depending on points for a course which has 20 places. For others that has 100 places, they can take in about 5 DARE applicants.

The amount of DARE students they take in is dependant on how many places are available and the number of DARE applicants applying for that course.

I'm afraid that's confidential. Don't worry about how many DARE applicants are applying for the course, just worry about the exams you coming up soon :)
