Correct sealant to use with spiral plastic pipe

    Hi Folks,

I had a small water leak in the 40mm spiral pipe feeding the water tank on my camper and I have had to replace this pipe with a new pipe.

There are two joints; one to the elbow connection on the tank and the other at the filler end. There are jubilee type clips on both connections but there was also some type of sealant used.

My question is what type of sealant should I use or would something like Vaseline be sufficient?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Dave
