I always struggle with shoes/belts. I tried specialist places before and found some places too pricey and other places just looked naff, I can generally find some vegan nikes or new balance trainers handy enough.

The belts on vegetarian-shoes look good enough, I'd like one. Yeah shoes are much trickier than runners. For years they looked so terrible as well, and the only option was buying cheapo non-leather shoes, but that's replacing animal suffering with other animal suffering, human suffering - in sweatshops. As they are so disposable that is environmental damage too.
Yeah some can be pricey but I guess I'm paying no more than i would be paying for a good non-vegan alternative anyway.

I was looking at wills vegan shoes and see some nice ones.

Formal shoes seem easier now I think but I never saw good boots really before recently. Unless it was Doc Martin style.

A lot of suits themselves have horn buttons, but more commonly the shine on shirt buttons is because they have "mother-of-pearl"/Nacre, molluscs. Also used in jewelry. It's the shellac of fashion.

This company does gorgeous bags, all vegan. They're a bit on the pricey side but I have one and can say the quality is superb.

I'm not really sure the more I look at buttons teh more I fear that many have it due to the shine, grrr. http://www.myfabrics.co.uk/mother-of-pearl-buttons.html
I'll have to look it up more but I think cheaper buttons don't have it?!

I have bought shoes and belts from

    http://www.mooshoes.com/
    and
    http://www.rootsofcompassion.org/en/

I hate buying shoes online as it can be hit-and-miss as to whether they will fit or be comfortable. I went into the Moo Shoes store in NYC a couple of years ago and bought loads of stuff.

The suits thing is solved by avoiding court and marriage (too late for me :( )

    ethicalwares.com is another one.
I bought some shoes from them last year and they were very easy to deal with.
They don't have a huge amount for sale, but they do have a few nice things.

Meant to say ASOS.com usually has some stock too and decent reductions in sales!
