Just spent 2 hours trying to book a flight online with ryan air. I finally arrived at the purchace now and clicked. It came up on the screen we are verifing your information please wait (or words to that effect). Sat for 10 mins waiting on a confirmation e mail none arrived. Contacted Ryan air had to provide name of first passenger and e mail address that I used when booking. He assured me no booking was made and to book again. ( Terror set in did I just lose my 400e to a fake website) It was now coming up to half 4 my bank would be closed but thankfully i got in touch with them and no money was taken from my credit card Was the first time I ever booked online with ryan air dont think i will be repeating it.

I'm pretty sure the problem is at your end.

Delete your cookies and data, then repeat the process. Your session may have timed out, giving you the problem.

Their new website is great, takes 2 minutes to book a flight.

Sounds like a problem on your end for sure, ive booked plenty of times on their site and found it very quick and handy...Especially since they re-launched the site.

Click "ctrl shift delete" all at once and delete cookies and data.

Try again and could take a minute to process in some cases.

Your friend got quoted a different price as there is a credit card fee when purchasing with Visa. Something like in the area of 3-5 euro, may be different depending on price of flights.

Just ensure all details are in and flight times are correct and should work.

Happened to me, I think the website went down, booked flights to gatwick, kept crashing, no email confirmation arrived. I checked on 'manage my booking' and it said the booking didn't exist. I left it til the next day to try again just incase, no money taken from credit card. So then I booked again on my laser.

Coming up to the date of travel I received two reminders to check in with I thought nothing of it and travelled.

After the weekend away I realised they had double booked me and taken money twice, the emails contained two separate reference codes. I sent an email forwarding on screen shots of my credit card (the funds were taken a few days after booking from cc) and bank expenditure along with the two emails. I presumed there would be a big battle with Ryanair and didn't expect to get a refund, I was only out of pocket of €35 so put it down to a life lesson. To my surprise Ryanair were really helpful, they phoned me to alert me that they would be refunding the double booked flight even though it was past the date of travel. Nice.

Better half booked herself flights to the UK last week, we only use Chrome and works fine. Also been browsing flights there for the last few weeks and no issues.

would lifting the phone and ringing the all new cludly and helpful ryanair helpline be an idea?

Think I detect a little bit of sarcasm here.

Would reading the post properly be an idea

They were the ones (well, the online chat folk) who told me to switch to Internet Explorer, though my main issue was with checking in, rather than booking. Still, they said use IE. That was a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps they have updated their site since.
Much to my surprise, they were actually very pleasant and helpful.
