How much a box of shotgun cartridges

Let me say first of all I'm not a shooter - I really have no clue on most of the terms used.

One of the lads here does me a favour once in a while and blasts the hell out of a few crows we have around here. Hence the question.

Is it something I can just go in and buy (I don't have a licence)?

I hestitate to ask but are there different types?

No you cannot buy unless you hold a licence,they range from 7-8 euro a box of 25 upwards, what you could do is get him a credit note/gift voucher for the cartridges and he can get them himself

You need a licence to purchase any ammunition in ROI.If it helps get a gift voucher for the nearest outdoor/RFD outlet.Best way out of it.
