Is there free storage space I can access online?

What is the best way to do this?

Just pictures and that really, nothing major. Tend to be a snap happy with the phone around the kids so need to have a safe place for them in case.

    Is Dropbox free?

Dropbox is free up to 2 GB.
Google+ photos can also backup your photos.
Microsoft have a sky drive I think as well.
