Frozen Xperia SP

My phone has been frozen since 10 past 6 this evening. It had 61% battery remaining. The SP doesn't have a removable battery so my only option is to wait for it to die so that I can re-charge it and I'll then do a factory reset.

Does anybody know how long this is likely to take? Am I looking at days as opposed to a few more hours or is there a way that I get it to power off without having to wait for it to die?

    All advice is appreciated.

There should be an 'OFF' button under the back case just under the battery area, use something like a toothpick and it should switch it off no problem.
