Looking for a discreet mod for when I'm out and about, my MVP 2 feels too bulky, I'll probably be using an RDA.

Budget is no more than 50 and it would need to be an Irish site not FT.

I've looked at the Sigelei mods but they seem to need tweaking.

Nemesis or Stingray from ESI in 18350 mode?

You're going to need batteries, a charger and if you go mechanical, a kick as well. That lot will set you back nearly €50 alone.

If you go for something like a vamo which thebestshop.eu are doing for €39, a charger and two batteries, then you are looking at €70 all in.

They do have a vamo for 25.99, but it's pink!

He doesn't necessarily need a kick if he is using an RDA. He can build a coil to suit.
From ESI you can get a SS Nemesis, Nitecore i2 charger and 2 efest 18500 batteries (no eFest 18350s in stock) for €53.90 delivered after "boards" discount. A Vamo is not what I would call discreet either.

This is the first one i though of when you said discreet. Another member here bought this at vapefest and it fits into your hand and is nice and tidy.

You will need batteries and a charger for it, 18350's or similar and the charger.

Each to their own I suppose. I much prefer using a kick.

Does anyone know if they stock the nemesis and stingray clones in the ESI b+m in Ennis? I'm leaning towards the brass stingray but I wouldn't mind getting a close up look at them first.

Indeed, you'll grow out of it though!!;)

Thank you for the suggestions, It's looking like I have to increase the budget, the GP PAPS caught my eye (nearly 100 quid) and there is a clone available from the UK for about 40 euros.

The Nemesis will give more battery options than buying a single Paps and has the option of 18650 w/kick over the Stingray.

Whichever you choose, it's a small budget-leap in comparison to the huge quality-leap vs VV mods in the same price-bracket (or twice that).

I thought I'd try going kickless last night.

Usual set up, LR Boge carto in the X8 tank, fully charged 18500 battery in the nemesis and away we go.

The kick went back in after five minutes.

Take a look at Delanie mods. They are rock solid and come with all the tube sizes. I have the 'basic' and can only say good things about it. That said, the GP Paps is just beautiful with the best switch ever made (imho)

It would do, kickless is only for lower-res setups unless someone loves an average vape from the start with a crushing drop-off while the voltage sags.

Just out of curiosity why would you consider clones from the UK but not from fasttech? You could get a lot more bang for your buck for the almost 50 euros (when you include shipping) a PAPs clone would cost.

I guess when I buy something I've no patience and want it soon, fasttech take weeks.

I think I'll go with the real paps, I just remembered the saying "buy cheap, buy twice"!

And it's what I would have spent on fags in a little over a week.

100 quid for a mech mod! You must be nuts :) Seems to be all out of stock, typical

:D Read that as 'I thought I'd go knickerless last night' :D

Helpful info on your set up though! Meaning to try the X8 with a Boge.

Could you fit a kick / 18500 in there instead of the 18650?

I'll try later and let you know.

Love the reviews of the GP Paps.

It's a cracking mod, switch is excellent, nice easy throw and it hits really hard. Voltage drop is minimal. Price is ridiculious, less than 12 euro. Extreme bargain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,561 ✭✭✭rickyjb

    Wow, that's cheap.

If you wanted it sooner there's a fast(er) shipping option for 22 dollars, you'd get it in about a week. Think Grindle used it before.

Imagine what else you could buy on there for your hundred euros, even with the extra shipping...

I ordered a couple of evod 2s and some heads a few weeks back, then realised I'd ordered the single, not dual coils, so placed another order for three packs of dual coil heads.

The second order I didn't tick the free track and trace delivery, so it came normal airmail.

It arrived Monday, still waiting for the " signed for" delivery!

    New arrival in FT today.

Looks great and savage value, into the cart you go :)

My last 3 orders have taken an average of 10 days from dispatch with China post so I'm quite happy with that.

Just tried with FT kick and button top efest 18490 and no problems.

    That's another shiney thing then.

    Thanks.

If you google 'gus mods' go to
The gus mods site, find the gus lord telescopic (about 100€). Or maybe the 'gus core whs'. - about 70€

Free delivery, and very good high end mods (not clones) with the sweetest switch in the business.

great thanks, lovely looking stuff there.

NB: WHS stands for 'without hot spring'

That's the gus core to get as the older 510 connection with hot spring had a 'slight' voltage drop.
