Spots and scalp

Over the past three to four weeks I've noticed my scalp has had a few little spots appear. I haven't changed diet or shampoo or anything like that so I'm not sure what's causing it. I wash my hair in the morning and by the end of day it can be itchy, which leads me to start squeezing the spots or just picking at them. Is there anything I can do to alleviate it? I'm reading up on salicylic acid now, is there some shampoo out there with that ingredient?

Has anybody tried Oilatum Scalp Intensive treatment shampoo? I see that Boots stock it but I'm not sure if it will do what I want it to do.

Do you ever get eczema or dermatitis ? I know a few ppl who get this and they all have eczema. You could try using baby shampoo or a clarifying shampoo once a week and a good mask instead of conditioner. This gives your hair and scalp a good cleanse.

Male here so I don't know if I'll be going with the hair mask idea :) I go through the odd spell of dry skin on my face but usually some moisturiser after a shower will keep it at bay for the day. If I don't apply it within 5 mins after a shower I can actually feel my face drying up. Scary.

Have no idea what a clarifying shampoo is but I'll look into it, thanks.

I tried this and while it was good it totally stripped my hair of its colour. My highlights had completely faded within a week of using this stuff.

Are you showering with hot water? Might wanna try lukewarm water because hot water isn't great for your skin, it'll irritate and dehydrate it!

That doesn't sound good. I don't have highlights but should I be concerned about the natural colour of my hair changing?

No I doubt it would change your natural colour. If you don't colour your hair you should be okay
