    Greetings all,

I'm about to sell a 2001 Yaris to a friend of mine. I'm trying to figure out what the actual value is. When I look on Donedeal the prices seem pretty high 1600 up to the 3 grand mark, averaging about 1900.

Seems like a lot for a 01 car. I'm assuming a lot of these ads are leaving a fairly generous amount of haggle room, so what's mine worth? I don't want to rip the guy off or sell it for less than it's worth.

Car has a few bad points, body work's a bit rough, nothing major but probably more than it's share of dings and the paintjob's a bit worn. Radio only half works and it'll need new tyres pretty soon.

On the plus side, mileage is pretty low for the year at 135k. It's just had a new clutch and has nearly a full years nct.

    I'm think 1300, sound fair?

135k miles ? For a car that is about to expire €750 probably fair

People asking €3000 for a 13 year old yaris?
What kind of mileage are we talking 20k miles?

If the body is rough, it's probably worth a grand.

It's black, not a bad looking car when it's cleaned up, 5dr with alloys (these could be standard)

And yup there's plenty of people asking big money for these.

To be fair, those are not your usual yariss. Particularly the Vitz jap import with the bodykit - your man selling it is a bit of a comedian anyway.

From your description, I'd advertise for €1300 and take €1100

op, depends on condition, milage, and the amount of NCT is on it....thats they way they shake out.

private sale, if it was in good order, with no dings, rust etc, running well, circa 100k miles, fresh inside and at least 6 months test, around 1900...yeah....

going by what you say about yours .....1200 blips

    Put it up for 1800.

People pay way over the odds for Yaris's.

You will be easily get 1500 if your Yaris is anyway decent.

It sounds a bit rough tbh

yaris are probably the dearest, most desirable small car out there.

imo a 01 with a new NCT, and new clutch kit and a pretty average 135k has got to be worth between 1500-2k. if i owned it i'd be putting it up at 1800 and be willing to accept anything over 1500 based on your description.

pictures would help give a more accurate value though.

I'm a master of both tbh, just don't understand how anyone could deduct the car is ready to expire from the details available, psychic powers maybe?

Going on the older stats I have OP, the 2001 Petrol 1.0L Yaris was going for €2140 on average with 93k miles being the average. Thats from a data set of 26 cars. They attract a huge premium and I have no idea why. Great car though, I've had 3 and never had issues with any of them. I recently say a 99 version go for €750 and it has some very rough body work. no NCT or tax but completely mechanically sound.

I'd go with €1800 and see how you get on. They have massive demand so really you can't lose out by starting high.
